  • Is Bright Way Replacement Breakaway Switch 2348 Available
  • We do have exactly what you are looking for, the Replacement Breakaway Switch for Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kits # 3802348. The "380" in front of the 2348 is just our part number identifier that we use for Bright Way products. For example, the Replacement Cable and Pin for Bright Way Trailer Breakaway Kits # 3802350 is part 2350, but also has the "380" in front of it. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well of the Replacement Breakaway Switch for Bright...

  • Availability of Chargers for Trailer Breakaway System Batteries
  • We carry a Trailer Breakaway Kit Battery Charger that would be perfect for you, the part # is 20011. The black wire connects to the 12-volt power from the trailer connector, the red wire connects to the positive battery terminal on the breakaway battery, and the blue wire connects to the breakaway switch. This would be the easiest, most economical way of providing battery chargers for the breakaway systems on your various trailers. You will want to make sure that the batteries are still...

  • Availability of Complete Trailer Drum Brake Installation Kits
  • We do offer some brake kits that include many of the required components to add them to a trailer, but there are simply too many parts to package together every possible combination. Not all customers will need the breakaway box or electric brake controller unit; and many different axle weight ratings, bearing sets, seals and wheel bolt patterns are in use. But we do provide you with a great place to start, the linked article. The article covers each of the items needed to add electric...

  • Safety Chain and Trailer Wiring Extensions For Extended Length Trailer Hitches
  • We do offer a Wiring and Safety Chain Extension Adapter Kit # PR34QR that we recommend with our ProPride hitches due to the length of the hitch. This includes safety chain extensions, a 7-way extension and extension cable for the trailer breakaway system. Be sure to verify that your 7-way and breakaway cable are not also to short as this may solve all those issues.

  • Remote Operated Brake Controller for Gooseneck Trailer with Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes
  • We do not offer a remote brake controller option that will work with the Carlisle HydraStar disc brake actuator you referenced. The most cost-effective option would be to bite the bullet and temporarily install a brake controller in the rental truck that is compatible with electric/hydraulic brakes like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. This would involve some wiring, such as tapping into the brake light circuits, and running a power and ground wire to the battery. You would also...

  • Parts Needed for Disc Brake Conversion on Take 3 Auto Transport Trailer with Three 7,000-Lb Axles
  • I looked up the Take 3 auto transport trailer and it showed it has electric brakes. To convert your electric brakes to disc brakes you will need to use the disc brake conversion kits for 7,000-lb axles with the hub and rotor, hydraulic line kits for three axles, electric over hydraulic actuator, trailer breakaway kit, and a brake controller that is compatible with electric over hydraulic brakes. The disc brake conversion kits will come in pairs, so you will need three sets. These kits...

  • Which Pins of 7-Way Round and Blade Carry Brake Output
  • Running the brake output circuit from your round 7-way to the blade style 7-way would be what you would need to do. On the blade 7-way the brake circuit is the 5:00 pin and on a round 7-way it's typically the center pin. The breakaway kit would be on the trailer so you'd need to check it out to be sure it has that. I would be surprised if it didn't. That's not something you can install on the tow vehicle. I attached a help article with more info on breakaway systems as well.

  • Electric Trailer Brakes With Parking Brakes For Dexter 6,000LB Trailer Axles
  • You would need the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly with Parking Brake Left # 23-112 and Right # 23-113 for each axle to use the brakes as a parking brake. The Dexter Breakaway and Parking Kit for Drum Brakes # T2385200 will give you the cables and handle needed to set the brakes. The only way to keep the Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Assembly Left # 23-105 and Right # 23-106 would require constant 12 volt power to keep the electromagnet engaged to the brake drum.

  • Availability of Electric-Over-Hydraulic Actuator For Triple Axle Trailer With Disc Brakes
  • I would recommend the Titan BrakeRite I Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit, part # T4813102, for your triple axle trailer using disc brakes on all three axles. This actuator is designed for triple axle trailers and will need to have your tow vehicle wired with an in-cab brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, part # 90885. This brake controller works with electric over hydraulic or just electric trailer brake systems. I have included a link to the installation...

  • Can Drum Brakes on 5th Wheel Trailer Be Converted to Electric Disc Brakes
  • I do not know of any fully electric disc brake systems for 5th wheel trailers. There are electric-over-hydraulic (EOH) brake actuators that take in an electric brake signal from a trailer brake controller, such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885, and convert this signal to hydraulic pressure to operate disc (or drum) brakes. Such hybrid systems do require an EOH actuator, a trailer brake controller as well as all the hydraulic lines, breakaway kit and the disc brake assemblies themselves....

  • Which Disc Brake Conversion Kit For 10000lb Dexter Axle Made In 2020
  • For your 10000lb Dexter oil bath axle made in 2020 you will need to go with the Kodiak Disc Brake Kit # K2R1058D11E since your axle uses leaf springs, and is not a torsion axle. This will work with dual 16" wheels so you will need to make sure that is what your trailer currently uses. You will need to use Dexter Axle Oil Hub # 008-430-03 for each spindle to allow you to install the above kit unless you already have idler hubs. For an actuator to control these new disc brakes I recommend...
